Undoukai 2013, part 1

Like every year, the local japanese school held its sports festival, or undoukai. I found out a week before that I had mysteriously volunteered to participate in the tug-of-war competition as part of the Venezuelan Go Association team. But the festival also provided me with a full day of happily shooting away with my camera.

1) Opening Ceremony:




It always amazes me how well those kids perform their roles during the opening ceremony.  As young as most of them are, they still have most of the work in the ceremony, including giving speaches.
